Tom Burnett was a businessman from California; Todd Beamer was a software salesman from New Jersey. They just happened to be aboard Flight 93, on September 11, 2001. The passengers knew they were going to die. A number of them had made cell-phone calls from the plane. They had been told what had happened at the world trade center. But Tom and Todd and others decided that Flight 93 wasn’t going to be used to kill more Americans, even if they couldn’t save themselves. Tom and Todd were part of the group who devised the plan to take the airplane back at any cost. Osama bin Laden had four terrorists on Flight 93, but the U.S. had Tom Burnett, Todd Beamer, Mark Bingham, Jeremy Glick and 38 other brave citizens who gave their lives to save, who knows how many others, on the ground. This is their story of faith, courage, sacrifice and love.
