Paris Notre-Dame Cathedral in flames
Parisians watched in shock along the river Seine as the Notre-Dame Cathedral burned. The fire destroyed it's spire and roof but it could have been much worse. Firefighters managed to save the main stone structure, as well as the Cathedral's two towers. Also rescued were the many priceless relics housed inside. Now authorities are looking to find exactly what caused the blaze, as hundreds of millions of euros have already been pledged to rebuild it.
