ICEX
ICEX 2016 is a five-week exercise that allows the U.S. Navy to assess its operational readiness in the Arctic, increase experience in the region, advance understanding of the Arctic environment, and continue to develop relationships with other services, allies and partner organizations. An interdisciplinary team of students and faculty from the Naval Postgraduate School traveled North to the Arctic Circle to participate in the Navy's large-scale exercise, ICEX 2016. The NPS delegation conducted acoustic, environmental and unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) research at Camp Sargo, built on the arctic sea ice 200 miles North of Deadhorse, Alaska.
