Hawaii Volcano: Residents Warned To Stay Away From Glowing Lava River
Hawaii's Kilauea volcano eruption continues more than two months on and residents are now being warned to stay away from a stunning - but deadly - glowing river of lava.
The Hawaiian Volcano Observatory says Kilauea’s Fissure 8 continues to be very active, but glowing lava heading for the Pacific Ocean has now oozed into a residential area.
The latest explosion at Kilauea’s summit created energy the size of a 5.4 magnitude earthquake at 10.21am HST yesterday (9.21pm GMT).
