
Hawaii Volcano: 4.1 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Kilauea – Felt 32 Miles Away
A Earthquake at Kilauea’s summit has been recorded by the USGS. The tremor was felt widely as it struck at a greater depth and Hilo residents reported feeling the quake, which struck on Monday evening.
A 4.1 magnitude earthquake has rocked Kilauea’s summit on Hawaii’s Big Island.
The tremor hit the south flank of Kilauea on Monday evening just after 10pm local time (9am BST Tuesday).
The earthquake was felt as far away as the north of Hilo - 32 miles away - Hawaii County Civil Defense said on Wednesday morning, but no damage was reported.
