Episode 3: Building for tomorrow
The iconic Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) at Kennedy Space Center. It's the largest one-story building in the world and it is where the American space program has been assembling space vehicles for more than 50 years. Our host, Bernie Guenther, and guest host, Jon Cowart, discuss the history of this building and the vehicles as well as astronauts who have passed through over the years. We take a look at just how big the VAB really is side-by-side to some iconic landmarks. We see how the VAB and the Kennedy Space Center have been used in movies and television over the years. Our man on the street talks with visitors at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex and tests their knowledge about Shuttle Atlantis. And we see what it takes to be a hero.
