The 75th Anniversary of D-Day will be commemorated around the world on June 6 of this year, but perhaps nowhere more important than where it actually happened, in the rural towns and roads of Normandy, France. There the long-awaited liberation meant hope. The French had been waiting for days, months, and years. Then is happened when more than 160,000 troops landed on multiple beachheads in France to battle and defeat the Nazis.
In recognition of this historic event, C3 Entertainment is presenting a 5-Part Series commemorating the 75th Anniversary of D-Day.
We must never forget the lessons learned that day for the cost of freedom, and always remember the thousands who sacrificed life and limb to free Europe en route to defeating the Nazis. We are there to capture all the events, including the celebrations, reenactments, heroes, and testimonials of those that lived through it and survived.
In this post, we follow one of the filmmakers, Ted Fitzgerald, as he retraces the steps of troops who deployed in the largest amphibious military invasion ever taken. Here are some behind the scenes photos of his journey.
